Go to the official portal
Type evisa.e-gov.kg into your browser. Don't follow links from adverts or messages.

Choose the visa type and fill in the form
Enter your details exactly as in your passport, your travel dates and where you will stay.

Upload your documents
A passport photo and the pages of your passport, plus travel documents if asked.

Pay the fee on the portal
Pay only on the official site. Agents add their own service charge.

Receive the e-visa and print it
Reported processing is about three working days. Carry a printed copy when you travel.
You can also apply through the Kyrgyz embassy in Islamabad. Ask the embassy about its current process and fees.
What to prepare
- A passport valid for at least six months with blank pages.
- A recent passport-style photograph.
- Hotel booking or an address for your stay, and a return or onward ticket.
- Proof of funds and travel insurance, which some guides recommend and some applications ask for.
Check the fee and stay on the portal
Published figures vary widely, from about US$30 on the portal side to around US$100 once an agent's charge is added, and reports differ on whether a visit is 30 or 60 days. The portal shows the real amount and terms before you pay.
Watch out for fake websites
Use only the official portal
Pakistan's Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment warned that a website with a similar-looking name, ending in .asia, is fraudulent. Don't enter your passport details or pay on any site except evisa.e-gov.kg, or through the Kyrgyz embassy.
What a tourist visa does not allow
- Working, including cash-in-hand or "trial" work. You need the proper permit.
- Studying in a university programme. You need a student visa.
- Staying beyond the permitted period. Overstaying can lead to fines and entry bans.
