MBBS in Kyrgyzstan from Pakistan, check this first.

The question that matters most is not the fee. It is whether your degree will let you register and practise in Pakistan. Here is how that works in 2026, followed by the admission and student-visa steps.

Start with recognition

To practise in Pakistan, a foreign medical graduate must be registered by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) and pass its National Registration Examination (NRE). Which university you attend decides whether you can even sit that exam.

  • PM&DC's notice of 31 July 2026 says only graduates whose primary qualification comes from institutions recognised by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) are eligible for the NRE.
  • Check your shortlisted university in the World Directory of Medical Schools and on PM&DC's website, and ask the university for its recognition status in writing.
  • PM&DC's May 2026 notice made online registration mandatory before provisional registration and the NRE.
  • Older articles describe a "PMC List A" and an "NLE". Rules and names have changed, so rely on the current PM&DC notices.

Don't rely on an agent's "PM&DC approved"

Promotional pages routinely claim approval. Verify the university yourself on the official lists before you pay any fee or deposit.

The MDCAT and academic requirements

PM&DC reportedly approved a change on 14 September 2026, published in a public notice on 5 October 2026, removing the MDCAT requirement for Pakistanis who go abroad to study medicine. MDCAT is still needed for medical colleges in Pakistan.

Read the notice itself

We could only read news coverage of the October notice. Coverage disagrees on whether the 60% FSc requirement from the May notice still applies, and many guides online still say MDCAT is needed. Check pmdc.pk before you rely on either.

Admission to student visa, step by step

  1. 1

    Shortlist universities and verify recognition

Confirm each one on the ECFMG directory and PM&DC before you apply.

  2. 2

    Apply for admission

Submit your academic documents and passport. Intakes are reportedly offered more than once a year, so ask each university for its dates.

  3. 3

Receive the admission letter and invitation

After accepting you, the university applies for a visa support letter from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Reports put this at about 20 to 30 days.

  4. 4

    Attest your documents

Your matric and FSc certificates are attested through IBCC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad. The Pakistan Embassy in Bishkek will attest documents only after the Ministry has.

  5. 5

    Complete the medical file

Universities ask for a medical certificate with test reports such as HIV and hepatitis B. Ask yours for its exact checklist.

  6. 6

    Apply for the student visa

On the invitation, through Kyrgyzstan's e-visa portal or the embassy. The first visa is typically issued for a short period and then extended after you arrive.

  7. 7

    Arrive and register

Your university guides registration and visa extensions after arrival.

What we arrange when you arrive

  • Airport pickup when you land in Kyrgyzstan.
  • We arrange your accommodation, normally the university hostel. The hostel and mess charges are paid separately and are listed in the fee structure below.
  • Help with your first-year visa extension and medical, which are part of the fee structure.

The fee structure

These are the amounts for the route we arrange. Fees differ between universities and years, so we confirm the exact figures for your university in writing before you pay anything.

ChargeAmount (US$)
Tuition fee, per semester$2,000
Contract fee$500
First e-visa (3 months)$300
First-year visa extension and medical$200
Registration charges$1,500

The four charges other than tuition add up to $2,500. With two semesters of tuition in a year ($4,000), the first year comes to $6,500 on these figures.

Hostel and mess (charged separately)

ChargeAmount (US$)
Hostel, per semester$400
Mess, per semester$600
Hostel security$50

Hostel and mess come to $1,000 per semester, so $2,000 over two semesters, plus the $50 hostel security. With those included, the first year comes to $8,550 on these figures. Books and flights are extra, and so is any service fee for our help, which we quote after a free review.

Ask for it in writing, and compare

Ask every university for a written fee schedule that lists tuition, hostel, medical insurance and any yearly increases, and never pay a deposit before you have seen the university's recognition status as well.

Mistakes that cost students years

  • Choosing a university because it is cheap, without checking recognition.
  • Paying a deposit before seeing the recognition status and fee schedule in writing.
  • Leaving attestation to the last month.
  • Trusting an outdated list or a consultancy's claim about PM&DC.
